The "Cognitive Robotics" theme at ENSTA ParisTech is at the crossroad of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. We are working on perception and machine learning to endow robots with capabilities to work autonomously and in interaction with humans. Our main research topics are mobile robot navigation, object learning, object detection and Human-Robot interaction.

In a more applied context, we also worked in the past on control architectures and we created a scripting interface language for robot control, URBI, is now developed by a start-up company : GOSTAI.

Several members of our team are also associated with the FLOWERS team at INRIA which is focusing on developmental robotics.
